Online Trading Platform

Our online trading platform allows intermediaries to quote, sell and track their individual quotations 24 hours a day and because it is online, users always access the latest products, rates and promotions.  The platform supports a fully compliant advised sale and will generate pre-sale customer documentation that can be printed and passed to the customer.  Alternatively, partners can switch off the compliance support to allow intermediaries to make sales on a non-advised basis.

Intermediary Registration

Select & Protect can provide a fully branded online registration for intermediaries available through a dedicated online link that will provide:

• Online Registration with no forms to fill in
• The same simple system for DA and AR intermediaries
• Ability to add up to three mortgage clubs
• Intermediary can select indemnity or monthly commission
• The Registration Form comes directly into Select & Protect
• Within 24 hours, the intermediary is set up with an agency
• They are FSA checked to ensure their status and permissions are correct
• An agency reference is given so that they can use the quotation platform
• A fully branded ‘Welcome’ e-mail is sent to the intermediary and a password is sent within 24 hours

Online Trading Platform Benefits

Our online trading platform has been developed to give intermediaries quick and simple access to our range of general insurance.  Intermediaries access it online and have their own online ‘account’ via the username and password they are given when registering.  The platform is free to all registered intermediaries and offers:

• A ‘quick’ quote facility where a price is given after requesting just the basic details
• Customer can chose the price/insurer that suits their needs
• Customer proceeds with quote and full details are added
• Quotes can be saved and retrieved at any stage
• Completed quotes are held in the Proposal Manager - policies can then be sent to us to place on risk at a convenient time
• Any referred quotes go directly to our on-site underwriting team
• Once the policy is ‘live’, full confirmation details are sent to the customer and intermediary

Back office administration

Our back-office administration system (Sirius for Insurance SSP) is a modern windows-based enterprise level system developed for insurers.  The system handles all aspects of policy fulfilment and administration including underwriting, MTA, claims accounting, etc.  The system features unique product and claims building functionality which allow for rapid development and deployment of new products.

Sirius allows integration through an online access management system using industry standard technologies.  This facilitates advanced integration with third party web services.

The system is open architecture running on Dell Servers, Windows Server OS and SQL Server DBMS.  The system is a three tier client server application using a modern graphical user interface.  We are constantly developing and enhancing the system with an in-house development and testing team.
